IRAN CLIMATE
Iran is an interesting country with different types of climate and variations of temperatures.
In Iran you can find the hottest place in the world, and even the same time you can have mountains where the temperatures are minus 30 degrees Celsius. Depending on the region and the time of the year it can be hot, cold, dry or even wet.
It makes the country ideal for producing grains and fruit. In winter you can go skiing in the north of Tehran Or tomorrow you can visit southern part of the capital city, heading to Kashan and experience the dry heat at Iran's beautiful deserts such as Maranjab Desert.
Iran is one of the only countries in the world which has the complete four seasons. In summer, the weather can be cool as well as warm, and in the cold winters, it can be mild. Summers are warm. Winter weather is very changeable with some mild, wet spells but also some very cold periods with frost and snow. A small area along the Caspian coast has a very different climate, here rainfall is heaviest from late summer to mid-winter but falls throughout the year.
Climate in Tehran
Three elements play an effective role in Tehran climate:1/Alborz mountains range, 2/ the western part humid , 3/ the latitude.
In fact, Alborz mountains make the weather in moderate. In northern part of Tehran, the weather is mountainous, and in plains of the southern part, it is semi-arid. A major part of precipitation takes place in winter. Average annual rainfall stands at 200 millimeters.
The cold season usually begins in December, but in the mountainous regions, it begins earlier. The cold season lasts 3 or 4 months. In mid-March, the weather grows warm. In late April, the weather begins to grow warm at a faster pace, so that in mid-May, it is rather hot.
